How does KT tape work? The following are the current theories of how properly applied Kinesio Tape works:

On skin, the Kinesio Tape pulls the upper layers of skin, creating more space between the dermis and the muscle.

The space created is believed to relieve pressure on the lymph channels in the area between the muscle and the dermis, creating more space for lymph flow and thus better lymph drainage through an affected area.

This space also houses various nerve receptors that send specific information to the brain.

When the space between the epidermis and the muscle is compressed, such as during an injury, these nerve receptors are compressed and send information to the brain regarding continuous touch, light touch, cold, pain, pressure, and heat. This information causes the brain to send out certain signals to the body on how to react to particular stimuli.

Kinesio Tape alters the information that these receptors send to the brain and causes a less reactive response in the body, allowing the body to work in a more normal manner and removing some of the roadblocks that normally slow down the healing process.

Kinesio Tape also is felt to affect deeper tissues in the body.

Increased space theoretically allows muscles greater contractility, which in turn pushes more fluid through the muscle, resulting in better muscle performance.

The end results are believed to be reduced muscle fatigue, increase in range of motion, and better quality of muscle contraction.

Kinesio Tape is used to improve joint alignment by affecting the muscles and fascia and can reduce poor function of a joint by influencing opposing muscle groups and joint mobility.

STIPER is the acronym of STImulation PERmanent and is a new variation of acupuncture without needles. The Stiper is the result of a search for a way to apply acupuncture to children, babies and adults who are afraid of needles. They were the first to experience the advantages of the Stiper and later it was extended to all clients because of its great effectiveness providing permanent stimulation.

The Stiper balances the energy meridians just like regular acupuncture. Furthermore, through the use of Stipers we can obtain the benefits of Crystal Quartz (the Amplifier of all Crystals) , whose proven effects have been noted over many centuries.

Stiper are small and spongy crystallised silicon discs SiO2 (quartz) which are used to heal the body through the transmission of their vibrational charge. Their special features such as a neutralising effect are due to the exhaustive physical and conditions of light, sound and repose that occur during their process of crystallisation. The Stiper has a special crystal clear structure and is a bio-resonancer of the universal waves, Stiper absorbs the body’s erratic and confused energy; transforms it, and then returns it in a controlled and gradual manner: constantly re-establishing and balancing the body’s energy. One of the basic properties of quartz crystals is their intelligent regulation of our energy: energy is dispersed when excessive and raised when deficient. Furthermore, alchemy considers silicon to be a stimulant and a spiritual cleanser which sharpens intelligence, installs serenity and calms stressful conditions. Therefore, it is no coincidence that we use such an element in healing therapy. When using quartz crystals in healing, we are working with the systems that feed, nurture and repair the cellular levels of the physical body. Quartz crystals exert a powerful effect, correcting patterns of unbalanced energy; a prime causal factor in many slight physical discomforts or disease symptoms.Stiper has no known side effects as it has the properties of Crystal Quartz, including having memory just like water.

The development of Stiper began in 1996, as a necessity: Pedro Plaja (Acupuncturist) and his wife Milagros Uria (Acupuncturist specialising in children and babies) wanted to replace needles, because most the children that she treated where frightened of them, and also for other adult patients who have the same aversion to needles. The Stiper Therapy’s scientific basis dated back to Germany at the end of the 19th century, when an Homeopathic Doctor, Auguste Weihe noticed that specific points related to a disease, had a painful reaction pressing on the body surface. The study and subsequent results were published in 1886. A Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr De la Fuye, realised that 153 of the Weihe points (German method used in old school Homeopathy relating to 250-350 acupressure points that cause painful reactions to confirm diagnosis) coincided with acupuncture points, Then he used in parallel traditional needles and a new tiny one similar to thumbtacks, that he fixed to obtain a permanent stimulation, obtaining better results. These facts, plus the fear related to needles in some patients, led to investigation to find methods and techniques to stimulate the points permanently, without the application problems. This technique has been used, now for years, to treat successfully. The studies focused an investigation on methods to make a effective non-invasive acupuncture, which led them to experiment with acupressure, seeds, magnets, suction cups and small balls of clay, music therapy, and chromotherapy, mainly with gems and quartz. It took 7 years to achieve a spongy and absorbent quartz, which they have called Stiper Quars. Now we have the advantages and properties of quartz which we can combine with other therapies like chromotherapy, homeopathy, herbal medicine, Bach’s flowers, intention or sound . This quartz with a texture similar to cotton, helped us to improve and overcome the disadvantages concerning small quartz crystals because of their irregularity and their sharp edges were not comfortable and could produce small lesions.

Homeopathy, also known as homeopathic medicine, is a medical system that was developed in Germany more than 200 years ago. It’s based on two unconventional theories:

“Like cures like”—the notion that a disease can be cured by a substance that produces similar symptoms in healthy people.

“Law of minimum dose”—the notion that the lower the dose of the medication, the greater its effectiveness. Many homeopathic products are so diluted that no molecules of the original substance remain.

Homeopathic products come from plants (such as red onion, arnica [mountain herb], poison ivy, belladonna [deadly nightshade], and stinging nettle), minerals (such as white arsenic), or animals (such as crushed whole bees). Homeopathic products are often made as sugar pellets to be placed under the tongue; they may also be in other forms, such as ointments, gels, drops, creams, and tablets. Treatments are “individualized” or tailored to each person—it’s common for different people with the same condition to receive different treatments. Homeopathy uses a different diagnostic system for assigning treatments to individuals and recognizes clinical patterns of signs and symptoms that are different from those of conventional medicine.

In Chinese medicine, gua sha is an ancient technique that can be used to relieve acute or chronic musculoskeletal pain, improve circulation and reduce inflammation, support the immune system and address upper respiratory illnesses, and release tension in areas where there is restricted movement. It can even be used for beautifying techniques like de-puffing and lifting skin

We use a smooth, hand-held tool to press and stroke on skin lubricated with oil, almost like a “scraping” technique. These tools are commonly flat stones or a roller, usually made from jade or other semi-precious stones like rose quartz. Jade is considered a Yin stone for its cooling nature to alleviate inflammation. You can also use a rounded ceramic soup spoon..

Gua means “to rub” and sha refers to the reddened marks indicating where blood stagnation or heat is trapped in the body. The quality, color, and location of the sha are part of our Chinese pattern diagnosis. Gua sha is done in one direction and in even strokes to create the sha that is raised from repeated scraping. These marks represent superficial broken capillaries, which promote an anti-inflammatory and immune response to improve circulation.

Acupuncture Point Injection or Acupoint Injection Therapy (AIT) is an advanced form of acupuncture that utilizes therapeutic and natural injectable fluids in place of traditional needles, thus blending the best of Traditional Chinese Medicine with conventional and homeopathic medicine.

Homeopathic injection therapy is an effective way to treat a variety of conditions such as sprains, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, acute or chronic muscle spasms, inflammation, fibromyalgia, polymyalgia, generalized pain, joint pain, knee pain, neck pain, back pain, sciatic pain degenerative disc disease, arthritis and more.

This involves the injection of homeopathic remedies into specific acupuncture points on body. Homeopathic injections are specifically designed to stimulate the body’s own healing response to work toward the resolution of symptoms with anti–degenerative action, as opposed to drug therapy which is most often focused on suppressing or masking symptoms. Injection therapy is a great and safe adjunct to acupuncture therapies to help with pain relief, reducing inflammation and improving range of motion in joints.

These products are registered with the FDA and authorized for sale in the USA.

The idea behind Chinese Food Therapy is that food can heal or help overcome various illnesses. All naturally occurring foods including fruits, vegetables, meat, herbs, and spices have their own characteristics. Eating the right types of combinations and amounts that fit one’s body’s needs can create balance and harmony in the body. According to the TCM, this balance and equilibrium is very important to avoid and heal diseases. Chinese Food Therapy utilizes the belief that food, like everything else in the universe, consists of two opposite but complementary life forces: yin and yang. To maintain balance, both energies should be in harmony with each other. However, this is not easy. Because every individual is unique in terms of body constitution type, we all have different yin and yang constituents and requirements. To keep the body in balance, one must select healthy Chinese food that is neither more yin nor yang. Or food with either one in more quantities to achieve the balance if it is disrupted. Other than diet, environmental factors and such as stress, lack of exercise and sleep, etc. can also disrupt yin and yang balance

Chinese herbal medicines are mainly plant based, but some preparations include minerals or animal products. They can be packaged as powders, pastes, lotions or tablets, depending on the herb and its intended use. Different herbs have different properties and can balance particular parts of the body. Prescribing a particular herb or concoction of herbs means the practitioner’s diagnosis has to take into account the state of the patient’s Yin and Yang, and the elements that are governing the affected organs.

Chinese herbal medicine uses herbs to improve health. The biggest difference between Western and traditional Chinese herbalism is that herbalists don’t treat symptoms or diseases. They treat entire human beings, including their patterns of symptoms.

Chinese herbal medicine has thousands of years of data to back it up. Throughout history, Chinese emperors worked to preserve and multiply the knowledge of the previous ages. That means today we have almost 2,000 years of clearly written records about how herbs and herb combinations work in different people.

Chinese herbal therapy can come in the form of granules or easy-to-digest capsules; teas, liquid extracts and powders; traditional formula.; custom formulas that your herbalist creates for you.

The therapy is based on direct stimulation of the nervous system with a puncture using acupuncture, semi-permanent needles, ear seeds or stiper quars

Auriculotherapy is both a diagnostic and a therapeutic technique. There is at the level of the auricular pavilion a representation of the different parts of the body and of the organs; this mapping, also called somatotopia, is now well known. The ear is therefore both a dashboard on which we can observe and detect the different deregulated points and a control zone allowing the treatment of points in order to obtain a therapeutic action.

Proven effectiveness for whole body pain, low back pain, sciatica, periarthritis of the shoulder, neck pain, migraines, osteoarthritis, neuralgia, including deep cancer pain. Manifestations of stress: malaise, anxiety, stress, fears, depression. Improve the symptoms of constipation. Reduce sleep disorders. Stop smoking or to wean yourself from any other addiction.

There are multiple benefits to using auricular acupuncture as an alternative to conventional needle acupuncture, which is what you’re probably most familiar with. Because it’s a noninvasive therapy, auricular acupuncture is great for people who are not comfortable with needles or who have an actual fear of the needles used in acupuncture, no matter how small or how fine they may be. It should be noted, however, that if you plan to try auricular acupuncture as an alternative to drug therapy, you should discuss it with your physician first. Never stop any prescribed medications without first talking with your doctor. Some medications, like antidepressants or opiates, require careful stepping down of your dosage before they can be discontinued entirely, and some medical conditions could be quite
